"Our intention is to not only meet the brief, but to exceed it".
The Hideaway
What started out as a client’s wish to replace an old koi pond evolved into a full garden re-design. The garden contains a large entertaining space at the top of the garden and a more intimate space at the end which contains built-in seating and a polished concrete outdoor fireplace.
To get to the end of the garden you must first traverse two staggered boardwalks that span a formal reflection pool. The boardwalks are flanked by tall miscanthus grasses which will eventually form a green tunnel enticing you to explore the rest of the garden. A whole new, more contemporary planting scheme was needed that maximised the potential of the mature trees that were retained on the sight. Fun, colourful and easy to manage this garden in south Dublin will improve for years to come.
