From small urban gardens to large rural estates, Andrew Christopher Dunne has earned a reputation as one of Ireland’s foremost garden designers. Andrew Lives with his wife and three children in the small coastal village of Clogherhead in the north east of Ireland but has taken commissions all over Ireland and internationally. His eye for good design is in no way limited as he has designed bespoke furniture and sculptures for his gardens along with stunning garden buildings,  pools and much more.

 

                    Striking the balance between hard and soft landscaping is often difficult and this is where Andrew Christopher excels. His gardens have a strong contemporary design intent, complimented with lush rich planting schemes which insures his gardens are not simply show pieces to be looked at but living breathing entities that transform the homes and lives of his clients.

 

                 A former windsurfing instructor Andrew felt the urge to create at an early age. He began running a successful design and build company Grassroots which won several awards including best private garden in Ireland (twice!). Now Andrew concentrates solely on design and works with landscape contractors, builders and Architects to create some of Ireland's most influential gardens.

I view designing on a client’s property both as privilege and a responsibility. Gardens have the ability to change how you live your life and I take that very seriously. “

Andrew has received numerous awards for his work including three Gold Medals, two best in category awards, A designers choice award and a best in show at the prestigious Bloom Flower show in the Phoenix Park.
