Contemporary Country
When a new contemporary extension was being proposed for this beautiful country house on Irelands east coast, we were approached to design the views that would surround it. Although the property was set in stunning countryside, the rear of the property was below the surrounding hills. It was feared that the new extension would be somewhat dark especially as a large mass concrete wall would be required to retain it. Our solution was to embrace this material (concrete) and create a modern family garden using concrete as the predominant material. The garden features an outdoor concrete kitchen, split level terrace with views of the surrounding countryside, water feature and stunning fire bowl by UK artist Andy Guage.
