The Copper Garden
The Copper Garden is a contemporary garden design created as a calm and sculptural landscape within the Irish countryside. The design centres around a striking copper-clad garden pavilion and reflective water feature, combining architectural materials, structured planting and natural meadow areas to create a refined outdoor living garden. The project combines architectural planting, wildflower meadow, orchard planting and striking materials including polished copper, corten steel and Kilkenny limestone.
Based on a large rural site, our clients asked for something that had never been seen before. We did our best to deliver. The result was a garden unlike any else in Ireland. Everything you see here has been designed at Andrew Christopher Garden Design, starting with the stone and steel entrance leading into the property. Even the gates formed part of our brief. The garden then features formal lawns, mature orchard, hidden paths, and extensive planting. As its centre piece a walled garden packed with interesting details forms the heart of the garden. Most impressive of which is a contemporary garden room like no other. With polished concrete floor, Italian stone walls and a stunning polished copper ceiling and roof, this garden room is a truly unique garden feature. It allows views to the Corten steel fireplace and beautiful planting that adorns the garden.
This project forms part of our portfolio of luxury and contemporary garden design projects across Ireland.
