Country Garden
Contemporary Country Garden is a modern country garden designed to complement a contemporary extension to a traditional farmhouse in County Louth. The garden combines strong architectural structure with naturalistic planting to create a refined outdoor living space that connects the house with the surrounding Irish countryside. When a new contemporary extension was proposed for this rural house, Andrew Christopher Garden Design was commissioned to shape the surrounding landscape. The site sits below rising ground and required substantial retaining walls. Rather than hiding this structure, the design celebrates the architecture through concrete terraces, floating steps, a bespoke outdoor kitchen, a reflective water feature and a sculptural fire bowl by UK artist Andy Gage.
