Overview - Courtyard Garden Dublin
When faced with the challenge of designing a garden in a really small space attention to detail, proportion and precision is key. This project demonstrates how a small courtyard garden can be transformed into a luxurious outdoor living space through bespoke design and careful planting.
Measuring less than 30 square metres, this small courtyard garden is designed as a complete outdoor living space, integrating bespoke elements throughout. A polished white concrete coffee table with a crushed blue glass insert forms a central focal point, complemented by a natural gas fire and custom-built seating in western red cedar.
The outdoor kitchen, centred around a ceramic barbecue, is seamlessly integrated into the space, reinforcing the garden’s role as a place for everyday use and entertaining. Vertical elements, including privacy screening and a bespoke herb wall, maximise functionality while maintaining a clean and contemporary aesthetic.
Coastal planting, combined with carefully selected materials and commissioned fused glass artwork, introduces texture, colour, and individuality, ensuring the garden feels both highly designed and deeply personal.
